Job DescriptionPlan, direct and control the activities of the operation to accomplish the budgeted financial objectivesEnsure the profitability and viability of the company; if not, take appropriate actionsMonitor and control all programs and activities related to the safety and well‑being of the entire workforceEnsure the company is in compliance with government and regulatory requirementsEnsure the requirements of the Quality and Environmental Systems are fully adhered toSupport the Controller to maintain ERP (Sage + Mysis) data integrityFoster and promote growth by supporting Engineering and Product DevelopmentSupport the Controller to prepare annual budgetsEnsure that new business is started up effectively and on timeProvide guidance and direction to all functional areasManage the necessary resources to achieve annual budgetsManage headcount in line with revenue and flex cost to revenue as appropriateDevelop individual goals for the operations teamExecute to meet and exceed company KPIsMonitor customer satisfaction levels to achieve 100% on‑time deliveriesLead Continuous Improvement (CI) philosophy throughout the organizationParticipate in the Health & Safety Committee and provide management support for specific initiativesManage and direct all aspects of the Operations Department (Rubber and Injection Molding)Maintain a safe working environmentProvide direction on day‑to‑day matters to employees as requiredReview various reports to monitor performance in the areas of quality, maintenance,
manufacturing and shipping and take appropriate action where neededEnsure Manufacturing Work Orders are completed with accurate information and on a timely basisExecute the production schedule to meet customer delivery datesParticipate in Continuous Process Improvement projects as a team leader and member of a cross‑functional teamConduct regular employee meetings to communicate important issues affecting the businessRecommend salary and wage increasesChair and participate in various meetings designed to deal with day‑to‑day issues such as daily production, scheduling, APQP, and sales meetingsComplete time studies on a regular basis driven by daily production schedule variances greater than +/-5%; any changes to BOMs will require approval by the CEO and CFOOther duties as assignedQualificationsUniversity Degree or College Diploma in a technical field; may consider equivalentexperienceMinimum of 5 years of related work experience in a union environmentGood background in Continuous Improvement projects, scheduling, and process supportBackground in injection molding preferredManagement of a site with 50+ employees and three‑shift / continuous operations environmentStrong background in business and operationsLeader with people‑management skills, positive demeanor, and ability to motivate others to achieve specific organizational goalsExperience in operational metrics and holding people accountable to themStrategic thinker who can advance business operationsKnowledge of Health & Safety legislationBackground in manufacturing with a clear understanding of production planning and scheduling techniquesHands‑on, multitasker who is well‑organized, has a strong work ethic, and high energy levelComputer knowledge (ERP, Microsoft Office)Continuous improvement experienceGeneral knowledge of the Canada Labour Code, Human Rights Act, Employment Equity Act, and Ontario Employment Standards ActWhy Is This a Excellent OpportunityBusy, well‑established company.SalarySalary Type: Annual SalarySalary Range: CA$ 85,000 – 100,000 CAD#J-18808-Ljbffr
