Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) CoordinatorJob responsibilities include site‑specific safety, facilitating orientations, conducting site inspections, reviewing and filing subcontractor pre‑construction and weekly safety submittals, leading accident investigations, identifying potential hazards and directing rectification measures, monitoring employees and subcontractors on site to ensure compliance with safety procedures and escalating issues to resolution, organizing and delivering training programs (WHMIS, Working At Heights, PPE, CPR/First Aid), coordinating weekly safety audit summaries, compiling weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly project health and safety statistics, regulating work site activity in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, coordinating Joint Health & Safety Committees, proactively identifying and preventing hazardous situations and taking necessary measures to rectify,



and providing leadership for a best‑in‑class health and safety program.QualificationsMinimum 3‑5 years of safety construction experience.Ability to delegate and influence others to follow safety rules and regulations.Working toward or already certified under the Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations with experience working on a construction site.Holder of or working toward a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certificate.Completed a college degree or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.Experience with the COR Certification process would be an advantage.SalaryThe salary range for this role is $60,000 - $80,000.EEO StatementEllisDon is an equal prospect employer.
