Current OpportunityClinical Counsellor (Arabic Speaking) Location: Canada.Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid or remote depending on your proximity to our Toronto or Montreal office Salary: $62,000 CAD a year ; $70,000 CAD if trilingual (Arabic, French and English) Shift hours: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm EST or Tue-Sat 7am-3:30pm EST Years of experience: 1 year of direct counselling experience Language: Clinical counselling experience in English and ArabicWhat you will do: Our Clinical Counsellors engage with participants over the phone, video, chat & email all while demonstrating what we call: The Power of a Good Conversation – creating a connection with the client to ensure they feel heard, supported, and cared for.It’s difficult to describe an average day for our counsellors, as each caller presents with a unique set of challenges, and it would be from your clinical conversation that would help each person navigate a way forward.ResponsibilitiesProvide single session telephonic and video counselling, in‑moment support and crisis telephonic management in a supportive, ethical and professional manner while maintaining client‑confidentiality.Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short‑term counselling.Assess and manage high risk calls and working closely with individuals at risk.Appropriately refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.Collaboratively develop transparent and concise treatment plans for clients.Maintain clear clinical and task‑oriented documentation in case management system.Any additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate by management.Qualifications / SkillsTo excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills: Social worker,



Counsellor or Psychologist with accompanying Master’s degree or diploma Licensure or clinical certification preferred.Minimum 2 years direct client‑contact providing counselling or mental health servicesExperience providing assessments and/or using clinical assessment tools.Experience using short‑term counselling modalities such as Solution‑Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, Systemic counselling. Training in crisis intervention and supporting high risk clients beneficial.
