Parallel Project is a growing exterior construction company providing supply and installation services across the commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential markets.

We are looking for a very specific person.

A construction professional who is already excellent on the tools, but has started to wonder: What's next?

You may be one of the best people on your crew. You may already be the person others look to when something goes wrong, when a difficult detail needs to be figured out, or when the job needs to be done properly.

But you've reached a point where you can see the ceiling at your current company.

You've thought about starting something of your own.

Maybe you've even talked yourself out of it because the administration, estimating, sales, legal, accounting and business side of starting a company seems intimidating.

That's where Parallel Project comes in.

We're Looking for a Partner. Not an Employee

We are looking for someone who can lead the field side of the business while developing into an owner and business leader.

Someone who can look at a set of drawings, walk onto a jobsite and know exactly what needs to happen.

Someone who can install the work themselves, lead a crew, identify problems before they become expensive problems, and hold a high standard when nobody is watching.

Our work includes

- Aluminum Metal Panels (ACM) — layout, fabrication coordination and installation of architectural ACM systems
- Insulated Metal Panels (IMPs) — commercial and industrial wall and roof panel systems
- Cement Fibreboard — installation of fibre cement cladding systems and associated detailing
- Exterior Metal Cladding & Interior Liner Systems — metal wall panels, liner panels and associated accessories
- Trim & Flashing — meticulous detailing and installation of exterior trims, flashings, corners, transitions and penetrations, with an obsession for perfectly finished openings
- Vinyl Siding — standard residential and light commercial siding systems
- Metal Roofing Systems — installation of commercial, agricultural and residential metal roofing
- Windows & Doors — installation, integration and detailing of exterior windows and doors

What Makes This Different Parallel Project is intentionally being built around two sides of the business.

1) Business Development & Administration

Sales, estimating, client relationships, proposals, scheduling, project administration, financial management and business development.

2) Field Operations

Project execution, crew leadership, quality, safety, materials, equipment, scheduling and construction.





The goal is not for one person to do everything.

The goal is for two owners to become exceptionally positive at their respective sides of the business and build something together.

You bring the construction expertise.

We bring the business infrastructure and support to help turn that expertise into a company.

You Are The Person We're Looking For If...

- You're already one of the best people on the tools. You consistently perform at a high level and want that performance to be recognized through profit sharing and, ultimately, ownership, not just another hourly increase.
- You're the person others rely on. You lead difficult work, crews and problem-solving, and you're ready to be compensated for the responsibility you already take on.
- You take personal pride in ownership. The same discipline and pride you put into your own home and property carries onto a client's property. You treat every project as though it were your own asset.
- You understand that quality creates profit. You know that productivity, quality and attention to detail directly affect margins. Fewer mistakes and callbacks mean more profit, and you want to participate in the value you create.
- You can read drawings with confidence. You understand construction details well enough to perform accurate take-offs and develop a scope of work without having to rely on someone else to figure out the field requirements.
- You are exceptional at exterior finishing. ACM, IMPs, steel siding, trims, flashing and exterior systems are second nature to you. You know what good work looks like, and you have the skill to execute it.
- You take ownership without being asked. When something needs to get done, you do it. You don't watch a problem develop because "it's not my job." You step up because you understand that ownership recognizes and rewards people who do.
- You've seriously considered starting your own company. You want to be an owner, build something you're proud of, and share that success with people who have the same ambition and passion.
- You've reached a ceiling where you are. You know you're capable of more, but the traditional construction career path doesn't offer the responsibility, compensation or ownership you're looking for.




- The business side is what has held you back. Sales, administration, accounting and estimating may not be your strengths today. That's okay. You know your strength is building things exceptionally well, and you see the value in partnering with someone who complements that skillset.
- You're willing to become more than a tradesperson. In the early stages of a company, everyone has to wear multiple hats. You're willing to learn the business, participate in estimating, understand financials, communicate with clients and help build the systems that allow us to eventually grow.
- You want a say in what you're building. You want more responsibility, more control, more opportunity and ultimately a genuine voice in the direction of the company.

What We Need From You Being good on the tools is the starting point, not the finish line.

We need someone willing to grow beyond the tools and become a business owner.

That means

- Participate in estimating and quoting
- Understand project margins
- Review drawings and develop scopes
- Plan labour and equipment
- Coordinate materials
- Communicate with clients
- Manage crews
- Build relationships with suppliers and contractors
- Participate in project planning
- Help establish company standards
- Make decisions based on the health of the entire company

You need to have the capacity and desire to learn. The Person We're Looking For

We aren't looking for someone who simply wants a better job.

We're looking for someone who has the ability to say:

"I've spent years building other people's companies. I'm ready to build my own."

Ownership

This is being structured as a long-term business partnership, with the opportunity for equity ownership in Parallel Project.

The exact ownership structure, compensation and responsibilities will be established based on experience, capabilities and mutual fit.

We are looking for the right person first.

The goal is to find someone we can build a company with, not simply hire someone to run a job site.
