A varied and dynamic role the Operational Crew ensures outstanding guest experience by facilitating protected and effective lift operation. This role supports both lift operations and lift maintenance objectives. You will be responsible for leading daily lift operation and monitoring of lifts at WinSport. This includes completing daily opening, operating, and closing tasks and inspections of lifts, with a focus on supporting and monitoring lift operators.

What you will be doing:
- Ensure all lifts are thoroughly inspected, and open and close at scheduled times
- Completing inspection documentation accurately
- Monitor staff and lifts throughout daily operations – ensure safe and efficient operations
- Assist with pre-season and on-going training of Lift Operations staff
- Maintain high level of customer service and professionalism throughout department
- Ensure all daily logs are maintained and accurate, and filed each day
- Ensure all operational aspects of the lifts are maintained (mazes, load/unload ramps, tools, signage, huts, etc.)
- Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of lift stoppages in timely manner
- Provide safe and consistent monitoring and operation of all lifts (during coverages)
- Be mindful of all safety hazards/concerns within the work environment and ensure all safety issues are reported to the appropriate individuals
- Assist in lift evacuations, mechanical or rope
- Adhere to and understand the Z98-19 code
- Knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures applicable to department
- Practice safe work procedures and ensure other staff are adhering to safe working practices
- Other related duties
What you bring:
- Desire and willingness to learn
- Experience in a customer service role
- Experience operating surface and aerial lifts preferred
- Previous experience leading/supervising a team is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude and interest
- Physically able to use a shovel and a variety of other hand/snow tools
- Ability to lift/push 20lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License and a clean Drivers Abstract
You will be:
- Capable and willing to work outside in adverse weather conditions
- Capable and willing to work at heights
- Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- 32-40 hours /week
- Reports to Supervisor of Lift Operations, Lift Maintenance, and Lift Foreman
