Assistant Manager – Manufacturing Operations

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year

Mid Valley Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager – Manufacturing Operations to help lead our manufacturing, installation and service operations.

We manufacture, install and service agricultural equipment. We need a strong, hands-on manager who can lead people, organize projects, set priorities and keep work moving.

This position reports to the General Manager and has direct responsibility for shop, production, installation and service employees.

What You'll Do

- Manage daily shop, production, installation and service operations.
- Lead morning meetings, set priorities, assign work and manage schedules.
- Supervise employees and hold them accountable for attendance, performance, quality and completing their work.
- Manage projects from work order through production, installation and completion.
- Coordinate labour, materials, suppliers and project timelines.
- Identify problems and delays early and take action to keep jobs moving.
- Oversee inventory processes and ensure materials are available when needed.
- Maintain quality and safety standards.
- Keep the General Manager informed of project status and significant issues.
- Improve workflow, organization and operating processes.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or management experience in manufacturing, agriculture, construction, equipment or a similar hands-on industry.
- Proven experience managing employees, including performance issues, conflict and accountability.
- Strong project management, scheduling and organizational skills.




- Good mechanical understanding and problem-solving ability.
- Able to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Monday.com, JobBOSS or Inventory Management Systems is an asset.
- Agricultural or agricultural-equipment experience is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's licence and legal ability to work in Canada.

Education & Training

Education or training in operations/manufacturing management, project management, people management, LEAN Manufacturing, production planning, agriculture or a related trade is strongly preferred.

Equivalent hands-on management and industry experience may be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

- $90,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience
- Full time, permanent position
- Medical and dental benefits after three months
