Job Summary
We are seeking an organized, technically minded Operations & Technical Coordinator to serve as the daily link between our shop, field crews, management, and client site representatives.
Working directly with the shop, you will help manage job documentation, track field scopes, coordinate material preps, and maintain clear lines of communication between field leadership and office administration. This is an active, in office role for someone who understands industrial site logistics and thrives in a fast-changing operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Job Prep & Material Allocation: Coordinate project setups with field leadership and shop staff. Ensure job-specific consumables and materials (equipment, paint, lumber, fittings) are ordered, staged, and allocated before dispatch.
- Scope Verification & Field Support: Review client requests to verify scope compliance. Match daily field shift sheets and validate job costing inputs before handing documentation off to office staff.
- Shop Coordination & Site Support: Work alongside shop mechanics and drivers to log maintenance status, track tool/asset movement, and verify prep schedules. Travel and work onsite when required to assist with project coordination or logistics.
- Client Liaison & Business Development: Act as a responsive contact for site engineers and mine project managers.
Assist management in following up on regional service leads across industrial and mining facilities.
- Reporting: Keep senior management updated on job readiness, material staging, and schedule changes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Industry Experience: 5+ years in industrial services, mining contracting, heavy equipment, or construction logistics.
- Education (Preferred): Post-secondary education in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read drawings, work requests, contract rate sheets, and technical job scopes. Understanding of heavy industrial equipment workflows without needing to perform manual diagnostics.
- Site Adaptability: Valid G-class driver’s license with a clean record. Willingness to work on-site at our Lively facility and across other sites when required.
- Software Discipline: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google Workspace (Doc, Sheets, Gmail) and comfortable using modern dispatch, fleet, or ERP tracking systems.
