Role: ILSC University Pathway LeadReports to: University Pathway ManagerLocation: Vancouver, British ColumbiaCompensation: $45,000-$50,000 annuallySchedule: This is a full-time in-person position, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per weekOverviewThe University Pathway Program is an integral part of all thriving ESL schools. Students have an end goal of transferring to one of ILSC’s partner colleges or universities. The program allows students to transfer without having to take an English Proficiency test as agreements have been made with several college/university partners.ResponsibilitiesStudent applications – help students to complete applications to partner schools, meet with students, receive applications, send documents to partner schools, and follow up.Student Advising – explain post-secondary education system in Canada; provide information about different programs and partner options.Agent Relationship – assist agents with guidance on potential student applications and selection of a partner school. Strengthen existing relationships, nurture new ones, and train agents when needed.Class and attendance monitoring – ensure students are taking correct classes and monitor absenteeism rates.Partner tours, presentations & other program initiatives – organize appointments and initiatives for the program.Student engagement post ILSC – follow up with students after they transfer, collect data, testimonials.University pathway graduation – prepare & organize, including coordinating guest speakers for graduation ceremonies.Facilitating orientation sessions – organize and present information about students’ responsibilities and opportunities.Liaising with the Marketing Department – promote the program at local education fairs, presentations & training to agents (in person or web-based), organize partner training for sales staff.Reports – provide regular reports on enrollment,
transfers to partners, commission reports to partners and accounting, track and report student progression.Responding to inquiries – respond to ILSC staff, agents, partner schools, and direct leads; focus on partner options across Canada.Building relationships – strengthen existing relationships with pathway partners and agents, nurture recent ones.Supporting – provide support to internal and external stakeholders.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsUndergraduate degree.Fluent in English, both spoken and written.Written and spoken fluency in a second language is preferred.Experience in an international education environment.Excellent knowledge of the post-secondary education system in Canada.Genuinely concerned with student welfare, academic progress, and personal growth; able to offer appropriate advice.Proficient knowledge of database, Excel, word processing, email, presentation software, basic accounting.Works effectively in a fast-paced environment and can meet deadlines under pressure.Experience communicating with ESL learners and other departments.Positive attitude, multitasking, willingness to learn and take on new duties.Team player, works well independently with minimal supervision.Proactive with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.Compensation and BenefitsCompensation: $45,000-$50,000 annually.Comprehensive health benefits through SunLife, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and participation in the company's RRSP matching program.
