Musselwhite Mine – Northern Ontario.PurposeReporting directly to the Environmental Superintendent, the Environmental Monitor will conduct the Environmental Sampling program in compliance with all permits, approvals and legislation, and ensure that field data is properly recorded and entered into the electronic data management system.ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a high level of health, safety and environmental awarenessMonitor personal and coworker adherence to health and safety controls, protocols and standardsReport any deviation from established health and safety measures and protocols to SupervisorAdhere strictly to Orla’s Health, Safety and Environmental standardsEnsure that all required environmental samples are collected, stored and shipped in accordance with permits, approvals and applicable legislationFollow procedures for sampling, measuring or monitoring surface water, groundwater, soil, and other environmental aspects of the mine siteEnsure accurate recording of field dataTransfer recorded field data into spreadsheetsReport any changes or deviations in the field from the expected environmental conditions, processes and requirements to SupervisorAssist in completing site environmental inspections in various areas of the operation and participate in Joint Health, Safety and Setting Committee meetingsAssist in the implementation of planned reclamation projectsAssist with the preparation and documentation of community engagement meetingsParticipate actively in daily department and safety meetings,
