This role is responsible for delivering full‑cycle HR support to a high‑volume, hourly workforce while ensuring compliance with Ontario labour laws and company policies. You will be a key partner to operations leadership, driving employee engagement, performance management, and HR best practices on the warehouse floor.Key ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations & Workforce SupportServe as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolutionConduct investigations related to workplace issues, including attendance, conduct, and policy violationsSupport progressive discipline processes in compliance with Ontario employment standardsPromote a positive workplace culture in a high‑turnover, high‑volume environmentRecruitment & OnboardingManage full‑cycle recruitment for warehouse roles (e.G., pickers, packers, forklift operators, supervisors)Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offersConduct new hire orientations and onboarding sessionsPartner with staffing agencies when applicableHR Operations & ComplianceEnsure compliance with:Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)Human Rights CodeMaintain accurate employee records and HRIS dataSupport audits, reporting, and documentation requirementsTrack attendance, absenteeism,
and turnover trendsSupport supervisors with performance management and coaching processesAssist in implementing productivity and workforce planning strategiesHealth & Safety SupportCollaborate with Health & Safety teams to ensure safe working conditionsParticipate in incident investigations and return‑to‑work programsReinforce safety policies and training compliancePayroll & Benefits SupportProcess payroll, including data validation (hours, overtime, shift premiums)Respond to employee inquiries related to pay and benefitsSupport benefit enrollment and changesTraining & DevelopmentCoordinate training sessions (e.G., onboarding, compliance, safety)Identify skills gaps and support workforce development initiativesQualificationsEducation & ExperiencePost‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or related fieldCHRP designation (or working toward) is an asset2–5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in:Warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environmentsKnowledge & SkillsStrong understanding of Ontario employment legislation (ESA, OHSA)Experience supporting a high‑volume hourly workforceAbility to handle sensitive employee relations issues professionallyStrong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced settingProficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsWorking ConditionsFully on‑site in a warehouse environment (including floor presence daily)May require flexible hours to support multiple shifts (days, afternoons, occasional weekends)Frequent walking and interaction with operational teams on the warehouse floorProblem‑solving and conflict resolutionAdaptability in a dynamic, high‑volume environmentStrong attention to detail and complianceRelationship building with frontline staff and leadershipAbility to work independently and take initiativeWhat We OfferCompetitive salary and benefitsOpportunities for growth within a logistics‑focused organizationExposure to a fast‑paced supply chain environmentBase Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000, plus bonus#J-18808-Ljbffr
