We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist specializing in shipbuilding to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining precision components used in the construction and maintenance of ships. Your expertise in manual machining techniques, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.Note: Due to business needs, this position is required to be fully on-site based at 50 Pemberton Avenue, North Vancouver.What you’ll doSet up and operate conventional/manual machine tools including engine lathes, vertical & horizontal milling machines, radial arm drills, surface grinders, line boring equipment.Machine and repair marine components such as propeller shafts, rudder stocks, stern tube components, bushings and bearing, couplings and flanges, pump shafts and impellers, valve components.Perform shaft straightening, keyway cutting, threading,
