We are currently looking for a Permanent Full Time Optometric-Administrative Assistant to join our team in Stratford, Ontario at Stratford Family Eye Care.

TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED. If you have experience in the eye care industry, great!

If not, we are willing to train a motivated candidate. Experience in retail, hospitality and customer service is beneficial.

Position details:

· You will be taught the necessary OHIP and appointment codes, and how to operate the scheduling software.

· Update electronic records, and perform other routine clerical tasks as assigned by the Office Manager

· Answer and maintain website and email inquiries for scheduling appointments and checking on orders, etc.

· Maintain patient records, insurance submissions, and maintain clear financial records for patient files and office day end.

· Instruct patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses.

· Call patients to let them know when their glasses/order is ready as needed.





· Troubleshoot and problem solve eyewear concerns and issues to ensure patient satisfaction as able or refer to correct source.

· Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures.

· Maintain an organized and tidy workspace and ensure each morning/evening that the clinic is organized and tidy.

· Organize seasonal displays.

· Future training in Pre-testing, Frame Selection etc

· Passionate about providing a great patient experience.

· Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills.

· Motivated with strong ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as new tasks are introduced.

· Excellent phone and customer service skills

· Must have experience using Microsoft Office, Outlook

· Data entry

· Meet deadlines as required by doctors/managers.

Schedule:

· Monday to Friday, 2 evenings per week, 2 Saturdays a month

· Schedule may vary slightly depending on clinic needs
