Job Summary

We are looking for a professional, reliable, positive, efficient individual to join our busy downtown Optometric practice as an Optometric Assistant/ Optical Dispenser. Exceptional customer service a must. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for administrative and technical duties including (but not limited to):

- Greet and welcome patients in a courteous manner.
- Answer phone calls and manage phone systems with excellent phone etiquette.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain filing systems and ensure all documents are organized.
- Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Handle inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.




- Pre-test patients using diagnostic optometric equipment
- Frame Selection/Vision Correction/Lenses
- Frames/Repairs/Adjustments/Dispensing
- Lens Designs and Technology
- Ordering contact lenses
- Assisting doctors and patients

Working hours will range from 35-40 hours per week and dependent on business needs, including evenings and Saturdays. Flexibility is ideal. Priority will be given to applicants with optometric and/or optician experience. However, we are willing to train the perfect candidate as well as provide compensation for future Optometric courses and continuing education.
