Apply By:Friday, June 5, 2026 11:59 pm EDTLocation:North Bay, TorontoJob Code:17162 - Systems Officer 6Job term:2 Temporary contract/assignment up to 12 months with possible extensionSalary:$1,852.71 - $2,314.51 per week**Indicates the salary listed as per the OPSEU Collective Agreement.About the jobLead Developer responsible for designing and delivering native cloud solutions that securely exchange data across the province’s criminal justice system.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, testing, and implementation of complex application solutions across the justice system.Provide senior technical leadership and expert guidance on system architecture, integration, programming practices, and modernization strategies.Oversee development, enhancement, and support of custom-built applications to ensure high performance, security, and seamless integration.Work closely with users and partners to understand their needs and translate them into transparent system requirements.Mentor team members, support troubleshooting, and help manage project plans, timelines, and technical deliverables.Ensure all solutions follow ministry standards, recommend improvements, and help evaluate and test new technologies.What you bring to the teamTechnical KnowledgeSkills and understanding of end-to-end cloud native solutions including design, development, and deployment.Experience design and developing complex API-based solutions.Proficiency in database architectures, data modelling and data migrations.Experience with GIT source control, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Azure Pipelines.Knowledge of modern authentication technologies and application security.Understanding of network protocols, n-tier application architecture, and cloud infrastructure.Familiarity with enterprise monitoring and logging tools.Ability to lead teams in application development, including architecture, security, coding, testing, troubleshooting, documentation,
