Job TitleFrench and English Learning Support (LST) Teacher – Devon Gardens ElementaryLocation & TimingLocation: Devon Gardens ElementaryFull Time Equivalent: 1.0Start Date: September 8, 2026Term of Employment: ContinuingResponsibilitiesWork as part of a cross‑categorical Learning Support Team with an inclusion mindset and a strength‑based, trauma‑informed approach.Support classroom teachers and support staff in enabling student access to learning for learners exhibiting unique learning needs, including:Students struggling with academics or behaviour but with no formal Ministry designation.Students with a Ministry of Education Inclusive Education designation.English Language Learners.Provide direct, intensive instruction in reading, writing, and numeracy to supplement classroom teachers.Coordinate case‑management activities: development, implementation, and progress reporting for formal plans (IEPs, AIPs, Student Learning Plans, Positive Behaviour Support Plans).Collaborate with students, families, Learning Services personnel, outside agencies,



and teachers on plan implementation and service referrals.Implement Universal Design for Learning strategies and responsive teaching strategies tailored to individual students.Collaborate with Learning Support Team members and other School Based Team members to build collective capacity.QualificationsDiploma or Master’s in Inclusive Education preferred OR at least three courses in inclusive education covering ASD, intellectual disability, and physical impairment.Qualifications to teach at the appropriate grade level for this position.Qualifications to undertake Level B assessments may be required.
