As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play an important leadership role within the front-of-house team, partnering with the ownership and leadership team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while supporting the daily operation of the restaurant and boutique accommodations. This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role for someone who enjoys being present on the floor, developing people, and creating memorable moments for guests. You will help lead service, mentor team members, support beverage education,
and contribute to the continued evolution of one of Canada’s leading destination restaurants. This position is ideal for an emerging hospitality leader who is passionate about food, wine, and service excellence and is looking for an opportunity to grow toward a future Restaurant Manager role.
Description
Lead by example, providing warm, genuine, and attentive service
Support the leadership team in the daily operation of the restaurant and boutique accommodations
Mentor, coach, and support front-of-house team members through ongoing training and development
Develop a strong knowledge of seasonal menus, wine selections, cocktails, and beverage offerings
Assist with the ongoing development and management of the beverage program
Guide guests through tasting menus and beverage pairings with confidence and authenticity
Support daily operations including reservations, guest communications, dinner service, and closing procedures
Assist with guest relations and service recovery when required
Collaborate closely with the culinary team to deliver seamless guest experiences
Contribute ideas to continually improve the guest experience and workplace culture
Uphold the exceptional hospitality standards that have earned national recognition
Requirements
Passionate about hospitality, food, wine, and creating memorable guest experiences
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead by example while fostering a positive team culture
Confidence making decisions and supporting the team during service
Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
Sommelier experience, WSET certification, beverage education, or experience managing beverage programs are considered assets

Starting salary of $55,000 annually based on approximately 10.5 months of work, including an annual winter closure
