We invite you to develop your leadership strengths as an Assistant Restaurant Manager – and let your passion for guest service drive consistent guest satisfaction, an engaged team and outstanding operating results.What you will be doingConsistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceFollow outlet policies, procedures and service standardsHelp lead the F&B Outlet team in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followedHandle guest concerns and react quickly and professionallyBalance operational, administrative and Colleague needsAttend regularly scheduled departmental and divisional meetingsMaximize revenues by communicating regularly with the Food and Beverage teams to implement agreed upon strategies,
practices and promotionsParticipate in the creation and ensure the achievement of Voice of the Guest initiatives and targetsParticipate in the setting and ensure the achievement of Colleague Engagement Survey objectivesSupervise and support of employees while ensuring service standards are maintainedMaintain a first class and positive visual impact including; ambiance, cleanliness, orderliness, décor and service flowsHelp with recruit, train, manage, mentor, lead and develop your supervisors and colleaguesEffective performance management through focus on colleague development, training, problem resolution, up-to-date records on performance and audits, attendance, grooming, service deficiencies, schedules, labor costs/payroll, and late/absenteeismHave full knowledge of all Outlet menusAssist in managing the departmental budgetAdhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehiclesFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageEmbrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactionsFoster an inclusive environment where every individual feels valued and respectedOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum 1 year Food and Beverage leadership experience requiredPrevious experience in a fast paced, high end restaurant or lounge preferredPrevious point of sale system experience requiredStrong beverage and wine knowledge requiredPrevious experience working within a strong cocktail culture an assetExperience with Unionized setting an assetMust be flexible and able to work various shiftsComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications requiredUniversity/College degree in a related discipline preferredExcellent communication and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with other colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervisionAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesVisa RequirementsMust be legally eligible to work in Canada.
