Job OverviewThe Coordinator Fund Development and Donor Relations will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Director Fund Development and Donor Relations, assisting in the planning and execution of campaigns, events and activities. The role focuses on administrative and logistical aspects of fundraising, ensuring effective execution and smooth operations, fostering strong relationships with donors, community partners, and the community.ResponsibilitiesAssists in translating the strategic fundraising plan into specific, actionable campaign activities and donor engagement strategies.Helps identify and research new funding opportunities, including foundations, corporate sponsors and community grants.Explores grant funding opportunities and assists in grant applications by researching projects and potential funding sources.Maintains the donor database, including giving history and donor preferences.Enters donations, produces tax receipts and individualized acknowledgement letters for gifts received, in a timely and accurate fashion.Tracks and reports on fundraising performance metrics regularly, including donation progress, campaign outcomes and donor retention.Supports fundraising communications, including letters of intent and proposals, assisting in information gathering for written materials and collaborating with the communications team to create engaging outreach materials.Assists in the preparation and delivery of presentations to service clubs and corporations and submits proposals for support and partnership.Supports planning, logistics and execution of fundraising events and campaigns, working closely with the Director, Manager Corporate Communications, volunteers, partners and community stakeholders.Supports recruitment, cultivation and recognition of volunteers where necessary for fundraising activities.Helps develop event calendars and engagement timelines,
coordinating volunteers and employee support.Assists with post‑event evaluations and reporting to measure success and opportunities for improvement.Compiles and prepares regular reports on fundraising activities, donor engagement and campaign progress.QualificationsProven successful completion of a diploma or degree in Fundraising, Communications, Business Administration or an acceptable equivalent diploma/degree program as determined by the employer.Experience in grant writing and donor proposals.Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Highly organized, detail-oriented and efficient.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced and goal‑oriented setting.Current valid driver’s licence and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment.Compensation and BenefitsMinimum starting rate of $32.12 per hour; $62,634 annualized.11 statutory holidays observed with public holiday pay.4% vacation pay paid bi‑weekly during the probationary period.Confidential employer paid Employee Assistance Program for you and your family members.Following successful completion of probation:Employer paid benefits (life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability benefits, health and dental).Group RRSP plan with employer-matched benefit up to 5% of gross earnings biweekly.Employer paid sick, personal leave and vacation time.Opportunity to work remotely up to 60% of scheduled hours.Equal Employment OpportunityEmpower Simcoe is committed to a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where everyone feels respected and valued.
