Information Technology Systems AdministratorLaSalle Police ServiceLaSalle Police Association (Civilian)Reports To:Director of Corporate ServicesRate Of Pay:$90,963.67 per annumBrief Overview:Under the supervision of the Director of Corporate Services, the Information Technology Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the continuous availability, security, and integrity of mission‑critical information technology systems to support uninterrupted police operations. The role includes technical support to end users, research and implementation of hardware and software solutions, and maintenance of software, hardware, cybersecurity, network, business applications, telephones, printers, smartphones, and related infrastructure. The position requires on‑site attendance and is not a remote chance.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of computer and network administration, including management, permissions, research, installation, upgrade, repair, and maintenance of information systems and technologies.Order, manage, track, configure, patch, and maintain IT hardware and software, including licenses, desktops, laptops, smart and desk phones, switches, access points, server hardware, radio equipment, wireless modems, and other technologies.Provide network, hardware, and software support to internal and external clients/customers.Ensure the security and redundancy of data and systems via regular audits and the application of least‑privilege principles.Manage database and virtual machine environments, ensuring systems are current, secure, and optimized for performance.Organize, monitor, and manage external support and services, ensuring SLAs are met by vendors.Provide documentation, demonstrations, and training for various programs, including CAD, RMS, SharePoint,



and other business tools.Collaborate with the Town of LaSalle's Information Technology Department and external partners to ensure consistency, cost‑effectiveness, and efficient use of resources in support of the Police Service’s business plan and priorities.Effectively document configurations, processes, workflows, issues, knowledgebases, training manuals, and decisions.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum of three (3) years of a Computer Systems Technology – Networking diploma or equivalent.Three (3) or more years of related experience.Strong working knowledge of M365 applications and administration, Intune, AD/FS/Azure AD, Windows and SQL Server, networks, virtualized environments, VPNs, mobile computing, SharePoint, PC hardware and software management and troubleshooting.Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.Valid Class "G" driver’s license.Legal eligibility to work in Canada.Other QualificationsRelationship Building: Ability to foster positive relationships with the public, municipal staff, external agencies, suppliers, and internal teams.IT Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrated experience in IT leadership, projects, implementation, support, security, and platforms.Integrity: High moral character and ethical standards.Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
