Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Paint & Colour Consultant to inspire and assist clients in selecting the perfect hues for their residential or commercial projects; as well as assisting them in finding all the right products and tools for their projects. In this role, you will combine your passion for decorating with your sales expertise to deliver exceptional customer service, provide colour advice, with our high-quality paint products. Your enthusiasm for renovation, construction, and interior decorating will help clients transform their spaces while ensuring a seamless shopping experience.

Responsibilities

- Engage with customers to understand their renovation or construction needs and recommend suitable paint colours and finishes.
- Conduct colour consultations, to help clients visualize their project outcomes.
- Assist customers, including POS transactions, and cash handling
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that highlight current colour trends and seasonal offerings.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, offering technical advice, and building lasting client relationships.
- Unloading paint on a daily basis




- Keeping the shelves well stocked and the store clean and tidy

Experience

- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales within the renovation or construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of colour theory, paint products, and application techniques is an asset
- Background in renovation or construction projects enhances your ability to advise clients effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse communities.
- Demonstrated success in high-end sales environments with a focus on customer service and product upselling.
- Basic math skills for measuring spaces, calculating quantities, and managing cash transactions accurately.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple client interactions while maintaining tidy displays and accurate records.
- Must be able to lift pails of paint (40-50lbs) on a frequent basis, full mobility is an asset
- Need to have the flexibility to occasionally work between both our locations.
