We are seeking an experienced Painter/ Finisher for our set shop located in Toronto, ON.

What We Do

We fabricate and finish a wide variety of products for museums, science centres, luxury ski resorts, public art installations, film and television sets, pop-up shops, fashion events, corporate events, and live stage productions.

Our projects include interactive displays, games, and mechanically operated components that require a skilled team of designers, fabricators, and finishers to create, test, and prove sustainability and longevity in the marketplace.

Job Responsibilities

- Work to established standards on all projects to meet our expectations for quality and craftsmanship.
- Have at least 5 years of finishing experience.
- Have experience with scenic painting or painting within a custom production setting.
- Ensure that the paint shop is always equipped and organized for success.
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of paint and finishing materials required.
- Paint and stain by hand and using spray equipment.
- Prepare wood and other substrates from beginning to end.
- Use a variety of painting and finishing equipment.
- Operate spray guns safely and effectively.
- Work with a wide range of paints,



coatings, stains, and substrates.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with other members of the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

This Position Requires

- A minimum of 5 years of professional finishing experience.
- Demonstrated experience in scenic painting or painting within a custom production environment is required.
- A motivated person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Very good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and adapt quickly to new procedures and project requirements.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
- Proficiency and accuracy with spray equipment, spray guns, rollers, brushes, and other painting tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also taking direction and collaborating as part of a team.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
