Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various products and components, ensuring high-quality standards and a polished appearance. Your mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and understanding of safety protocols will be essential to succeed.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the production process while honing your skills in a dynamic environment committed to excellence. Having a vehicle is necessary for this role in order to drive supplies and ladders.

Duties

- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Mix paints, stains, and coatings accurately using basic math skills to achieve the desired color and consistency.
- Apply paint and finishes using brushes, rollers, spray guns, or other power tools with precision and attention to detail.
- Inspect finished work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications; perform touch-ups as needed.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.




- Maintain a clean work area by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

- Must have a reliable vehicle capable of transporting ladders. A roof rack or other safe ladder carrying setup is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and active vehicle insurance.
- Must be able to reliably get to job sites throughout Toronto and the GTA.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and at heights.
- Must be physically capable of lifting ladders, paint, equipment, and supplies.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and show up ready to work.
- Must be willing to learn and take direction from crew managers.
- Must maintain a professional attitude around clients and their homes.
- Must keep job sites clean, organized, and safe.
- Must communicate clearly with managers if there are delays, problems, or questions on site.
- Painting experience is an asset, but reliability, work ethic, and coachability are more significant.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
