At Scholars, tutoring is about more than helping students complete their work. We help students strengthen their academic skills, build confidence, develop better learning habits, and recognize what they are capable of achieving.

Who We're Looking For Our strongest tutors are energetic, patient, encouraging, and genuinely excited about helping students learn.

Ideal candidates have

- A bachelor's degree OR are currently in their third or fourth year of university
- Previous tutoring, teaching,



camp, coaching, or teaching assistant experience
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- The ability to connect with different personalities and learning styles
- A positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

Teaching certification is an asset but not required. French language skills are also an asset.

Availability

This is an in-person position at Scholars of Burlington South.

We are looking for candidates who can commit to:

- 2 to 3 shifts per week
- Approximately 3 to 4 hours per shift
- Consistent availability throughout the school year until June 2027

Our teaching hours are: Monday to Thursday: 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Weekday shifts typically begin at 3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., or 5:00 p.m.
