Seeking a couple part time employees to work over supper rush at our downtown Halifax location on Quinpool Rd. Must be available to start work at 3 or 4pm and shifts run until between 8 and 11pm typically depending on store needs. We are not currently assisting with immigration unfortubately and are looking for staff with Canadian citizenship or already with PR status.

Duties

- Prepare and assemble food orders efficiently, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system, to process customer transactions accurately
- Handle cash and credit card payments with precision, providing correct change and receipts
- Assist customers with their orders, upselling menu items to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards




- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Support kitchen operations by handling food preparation tasks and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed

Requirements

- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry environments preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Kitchen or food preparation experience is advantageous but not mandatory
