Prestige School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Part-Time Music Teacher to join our school community for the upcoming school year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate music educator who enjoys working with students in a small-school environment and has experience teaching both vocal and instrumental music.

Position Details

- Position: Part-Time Music Teacher
- Day: Tuesdays
- Hours: 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Potential Additional Opportunity: Music Club from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario

Responsibilities The successful candidate will:
- Teach engaging and age-appropriate music lessons to students.
- Provide instruction in vocal music, guitar, and ukulele.
- Develop lessons that build students' musical skills, confidence, creativity, and appreciation of music.
- Incorporate singing, rhythm, music theory, and instrumental skills into lessons as appropriate.
- Maintain effective classroom management and create a positive, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
- Establish clear expectations and routines to ensure students remain focused and engaged.
- Prepare students for school performances and special events when applicable.




- Assess student progress and complete report cards in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain appropriate records of student achievement and progress.
- Potentially lead an after-school Music Club from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications & Experience
- Experience teaching vocal music is required.
- Experience teaching guitar and ukulele is required.
- Previous experience teaching children in a school or educational setting.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Enthusiasm, patience, creativity, and a passion for music education.
- Music education, performance, or related qualifications are considered an asset.
