EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part-Time / Freelance (Approx. 5–7 hours/week)

COMPENSATION: $20.00 – $23.00 CAD / hour + Complimentary meal perks

ABOUT US----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mr Tonkatsu is a downtown Toronto staple located at Yonge & Wellesley, famous for our ultra-crispy, freshly fried pork cutlets, bubbling cheese katsu, and comforting Japanese curry sets.

We are looking for an energetic, food-loving Social Media Coordinator to grow our presence on Instagram and TikTok through influencer collaborations and crave-worthy short-form video content.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES---------------------------------------------------------------------

Influencer Outreach & Management:

Pitch and coordinate 15–20 Toronto micro-foodies and student creators per week; manage bookings for comped tasting visits and track post deliverables.

Short-Form Content Creation:

Plan, edit, and post 1–2 trending TikToks/Reels weekly focusing on high-engagement visuals (crispy ASMR, cheese pulls, combo highlights, behind-the-scenes prep).

Community Engagement

Respond to daily DMs, comments, and customer inquiries regarding hours, menu, and takeout orders; interact with local Toronto food feeds and campus communities (U of T, TMU).

On-Site Filming:

Visit the 548 Yonge St.



location 1–2 times per month (1–2 hours) during off-peak hours to shoot fresh video assets.

REQUIREMENTS----------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Experience managing a brand social channel or personal creator account with demonstrated success in Reels/TikTok.
- Strong knowledge of the Toronto food scene, viral TikTok audio/editing trends, and visual food aesthetics.
- Skilled in mobile video editing apps (CapCut, InShot, Instagram Editor).
- Exceptional written communication skills in English.
- Based in Toronto with the ability to visit our Yonge Street location in person.
