The Scientific Research Officer directly supports and assists the organization and execution of research efforts in the Radiation Oncology Program. The long-term objective is to help leverage additional external research funding and grow research productivity across the Program.This position includes a full range of grant support duties (including identifying external grants, budgeting, monitoring, contract reviews, and reporting), project coordination, literature reviews, analysis of research programs, and preparation of materials for the dissemination of knowledge to varied audiences. The Scientific Research Officer coordinates with researchers to develop research operations plans and external grant applications. The officer will be resourceful and independent, working within an integrated research program and a team-oriented environment. Ability to adjust to changing priorities and meet deadlines is necessary.



The officer works closely with the team to ensure all research projects are aligned with CCMB priorities and will help ensure projects are initiated, monitored, and closed in a timely manner.QualificationsRequired:Ph.D in a relevant scientific discipline from an accredited educational institution.
