Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Parts Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing parts for shipment, ensuring timely and productive order fulfillment. Your mechanical aptitude and experience with warehouse equipment will help keep our operations running smoothly and safely.

Position Summary:

Job Title: Order Picker

Department: Product Support

Reports to: Parts & Shipping Manager

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Pick and process parts sales orders.

· Assemble containers and crates, pack goods to be shipped, record contents manually or by computer and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.

· Operate forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.

· Clean sort and store items in an organized orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse/parts and shipping areas.

· Maintain records of orders and the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies on hand using manual or computerized inventory system.

· Communicate and inform Parts Manager of inventory levels and parts shortages or issues.

· Conduct or participate in periodic physical inventory counts.

· Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods.

· Perform general housekeeping duties to ensure the warehouse/parts and shipping areas are clean and orderly.

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.





Education and Training:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

o Inventory system and locations o Parts knowledge and recognition o Order picking and processing, building crates, packaging and boxing parts, etc.
- WHMIS/GHS

Knowledge and Experience: · 6+ months experience in a warehouse or parts desk/sales environment is strongly desired.

· Basic knowledge and understanding of organizing, tracking and accounting for parts/items (inventory control).

· Previous experience operating a forklift and/or other materials handling equipment is desired.

Core Competencies:

- Ability to comprehend and follow simple verbal and written instructions in English and apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Spatial ability - can visualize what something will look like from a drawing, diagram or blueprint.
- Picture 3-dimentional objects from drawings or diagrams.
- See differences in the size and shape of lines or objects.
- Can identify and distinguish between mirrored parts (left and right).

· Good verbal and written communication skills. · Basic computer skills.

· Basic math and numeracy skills.

· Ability and willingness to follow directions and work as part of a team as well as the ability to work independently.

· Physically fit to lift, stand during working hours and move heavy items.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 48.0 per week
