Job Summary

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Clerk to join our finance and human resources team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. This role requires proficiency with various payroll and accounting software, solid data entry skills, and accounting principles.

The Payroll clerk will play a critical role in maintaining accurate employee compensation records and supporting overall financial operations.

Duties

- Process payroll using systems such as Jonas and Maestro
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare reports for management review
- Manage accounts payable and receivable related to payroll transactions
- Maintain employee records related to compensation, benefits, and tax information
- Assist with year-end payroll processing and tax filings




- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies
- Requirements
- Prior experience in Payroll processing in the construction industry is essential
- Strong knowledge and experience with Multiple union reporting and communications
- Proficiency in excel
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills to interpret payroll data and generate reports
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
