Duties
- Process payroll using Sage 50/Simply accounting and/or QuickBooks online.
- Enter and verify employee data accurately within payroll and accounting software like QuickBooks and other accounting tools.
- Reconcile accounts related to payroll expenses, taxes, and benefits to ensure data integrity.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions associated with payroll processing.
- Conduct detailed analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly.
- Maintain comprehensive records of payroll transactions, employee hours, leave balances, and tax filings.
- Collaborate with human resources to ensure proper documentation for new hires, terminations, or changes in employment status.
Skills
- Proficiency with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, PeopleSoft, Ceridian or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage 50.
- Expertise in HRIS systems and data entry accuracy for employee records.
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes and bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret payroll data and generate reports.
- Understanding of human resources processes related to payroll administration.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
