This role will oversee channel performance, content strategy, audience development, and day‑to‑day operations, with a focus on increasing revenue, watch time, engagement, and overall brand presence.The Senior Strategist will manage and guide internal team members, freelancers, and cross‑functional partners to ensure all content is optimized for platform performance, aligned with brand priorities, and contributing to annual business targets. This person will bring strong YouTube expertise, strategic leadership, analytical thinking, and a proven ability to grow digital audiences and revenue.This role will report to the Senior Director, Digital and is a hybrid position requiring in‑office attendance at our head office in Toronto for a minimum of three (3) days per week.The anticipated salary range for this role is $70,000 - $75,000 per year, with final compensation determined by experience and qualifications.Core Responsibilities & DutiesLead the strategy and performance of a segment of Blue Ant Media’s YouTube channels, with a focus on revenue growth, audience development, watch time, and brand awarenessOversee channel operations, publishing calendars, community management, claims resolution, and ownership conflictsManage and provide direction to the social editor, freelancers,



and cross‑functional partners supporting the channelsDevelop and execute content optimization strategies across titles, descriptions, keywords, thumbnails, playlists, metadata, and publishing frequencyUse YouTube Analytics, SEO insights, revenue data, and audience trends to identify opportunities for growth and improved monetizationPrepare weekly and monthly performance reports, highlighting audience engagement, revenue performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended optimizationsMonitor digital trends, platform updates, and competitive activity to ensure channels remain current and strategically positionedQualifications and ExperienceStrong understanding of YouTube strategy, SEO, metadata, analytics, monetization, community management, and platform best practicesExperience managing team members, freelancers, agencies, or cross‑functional partnersStrong analytical skills with the ability to turn performance data into clear insights and actionable recommendationsExcellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple channels, priorities, and deadlinesStrong editorial judgment and ability to guide content packaging, including thumbnails, titles, and positioningKnowledge of social media best practices and digital technologiesWorking knowledge of creative tools is an assetEqual Chance EmployerAt Blue Ant Media, we believe promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion is everyone's responsibility.
