Coordinator, Learning Strategies/Inclusive Education, Senior School – Full‑time continuing contract for 2026‑2027.Crofton House School is a girl‑centred learning environment located on a 10‑acre campus in Vancouver. The Learning Strategies Coordinator will support students with learning needs and lead a team of learning strategists.Responsibilities of the Learning Strategies CoordinatorPromote a collegial teaching and learning environment with and beyond the team of Learning Strategists by assisting the coordination of the learning resource program.Oversee the IEP process including engagement of teachers and parents and documentation.Oversee the Essential Learning Plan process for students and assign case managers as needed.Oversee concussion management.Collaborate with Personal Counselors regarding students with H and R designations and other students as needed.Facilitate meetings between students, parents, and Senior School teachers.Collaborate with teachers to assist in their understanding and ability to support students with learning needs in their classes.Manage the Ministry‑provided budget for designated students.Support constructive engagement of parents in the curricular program.Oversee staffing for the after‑school support program to ensure daily coverage.Oversee the TPGP process with designated colleagues.Lead and implement inclusive education strategies in the Senior School.Provide training and/or professional learning in staff meetings as needed.Qualifications, Knowledge,
ExperienceBachelor's degree or equivalent with an Inclusive Education focus and qualification to teach at an intermediate and senior level.BC Ministry of Education Certificate or Independent School Certification qualification criteria.Experience as an Inclusive Education / Learning Resources Teacher at a senior school level.Understanding of the BC Ministry of Education Inclusive Education policies and procedures.Experience reading and interpreting psycho‑educational assessments.Experience creating and implementing IEPs.Demonstrable awareness of the learning styles of girls and young women.Collaborative and energetic with a passion for teaching.Committed to the craft of teaching, best practices, and standards of qualified practice.Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, negotiation, and mediation skills.Commitment to continued professional development and growth.Energy, commitment, and readiness to participate in the co‑curricular program and the diverse life of the school community.Compensation and BenefitsSalary ranges from $69,541 to $123,242 depending on experience and education, plus a responsibility allowance.
