Position Summary
Working within a collaborative pharmacy team, you will provide pharmacy services to residents across long-term care, retirement, and congregate living communities. You will be responsible for ensuring prescriptions are dispensed accurately and safely while providing clinical oversight to support appropriate medication therapy and high-quality patient care.
The role involves working closely with pharmacy colleagues and resident care teams, reviewing medication profiles, responding to urgent and palliative medication needs, and helping ensure medications are delivered safely and efficiently.

with predictable hours and without the demands of a traditional retail pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and dispense prescriptions accurately and safely.
- Assess medication therapy for appropriateness and identify potential medication-related concerns.
- Conduct medication regimen and profile reviews and document recommendations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy teams, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support resident care.
- Respond to urgent and palliative medication needs and coordinate timely dispensing.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and medication management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and pharmacy team members.
- Strong organization, planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Adaptable and comfortable working within a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
- Knowledge of Kroll pharmacy software is considered an asset.
- Previous long-term care pharmacy experience is considered an asset but is not required.
