- Junction Chemist is a full-service and rapidly growing community pharmacy offering the products and services our patients and clients seek, including professional consultations, immunizations, Minor ailment prescribing, seasonal flu shots, blister packaging and delivery. We have a small but highly efficient pharmacy team that is looking to grow.

Why is this role important?

- As Junction Chemist is laser-focused on improving health outcomes and on enhancing the customer’s experience in the pharmacy, we are looking for an energetic and personable pharmacy technician or assistant, preferably with previous pharmacy experience, to work Saturdays and some weekdays in order to help elevate our already superb service to even greater heights.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for:

- Patient greeting whether in person or via telephone

- Handling customer prescription pick-up and OTC purchases.

- Data entry of patient care information

- Confirmation of accuracy of all pertinent prescription information prior to filling

- Third Party adjudication

- Accurate dispensing prescription medications

- Maintenance of pharmacy stock through inventory control systems





- Administrative support via record keeping (filing, scanning, manual billings/reversals, and pharmaceutical returns processing)

- General OTC enquiries from patients and referral to Pharmacist where required and necessary

Job Qualifications

- Experience as a Pharmacy technician or assistant is an asset.

- Proficiency with Kroll Pharmacy Dispensing Software.

- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

- High degree of attention to detail.

- Strong communication skills.

- Demonstrated experience in the provision of superb customer service.

- Proven record of attendance and punctuality.

- Flexibility to work a variety of hours on weekdays and weekends.
