Physiotherapists are responsible for maintaining comprehensive treatment records and collaborating with attending physicians when necessary. They actively participate in departmental meetings, medical rounds, and relevant conferences, and fulfill administrative duties such as maintaining statistical records and equipment care. Additionally, they engage in ongoing inservice training programs and seek guidance from the Director for administrative or clinical matters when needed.
Physiotherapists supervise either inpatient or outpatient services as delegated and perform additional administrative duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Post-graduate training in manual therapy at least up to the level of E2-V2 (recognized by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association)
or specialized training in sports medicine (recognized by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association)
- Neural Development Therapy (NDT) Training
- A minimum of three (3) years recent and relevant clinical experience
- Demonstrated ability in working with the geriatric population
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and abilities to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Desire to work with the elderly population; gerontology experience an asset
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of the interdisciplinary team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and with respect in an oral and written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines
- Demonstrated effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply basic computer skills
- Demonstrated and proven ability to work in a collaborative care model with all members of the health care team and community partners
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario standards of practice
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education activities supporting ongoing professional learning in physiotherapy
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Embodies the LEAN ideology by actively and continually seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Must have demonstrated ability to meet the attendance standards of the Hospital
- Bilingualism preferred (French/English)
