Reporting to the department or plant manager, the supervisor is accountable for the performance and results of their department and is responsible for the direct supervision and training of Leader Technicians and Team Members. Hands‑on leadership is valuable, so you will lead by example and maintain open lines of communication.Plans and assigns work and trains new employees.Administers company policies for department.Directs Leader Technicians within the team and works closely with the Leader Technicians to monitor, maintain FTM production.Ensures the productivity requirements are met by FTMs and that standardized work procedures are being followed.Assesses and troubleshoots machine problems.Decides the operating condition of all equipment over which you have direct control; reports conditioneach shift to maintenance or operations and cares for any equipment assigned.Ensures the proper operation of all equipment to reduce environmental or production upsets and corrects any such upsets in a timely manner.Ensures that all pertinent documentation is completed accurately and on time.Performs routine inspections and assessments of any equipment assigned to your department.Communicates with all levels of management, including Japanese staff.Presents materials and information to groups.Conducts root cause analysis of customer problems and defect reduction.Documents departmental productivity and defects,
and takes corrective action when needed.Motivates employees and assists in the resolution of conflict.Monitors and evaluates employees’ performance.Aids in continuous improvement process.Reviews trials process of new parts and assists Preproduction Department in scheduling trials.Assists manager or team lead as necessary to accomplish all goals and missions of the department.Coaches and counsels team members on various aspects of their duties.Administers corrective actions (discipline) for employees as appropriate.Will be held accountable for carrying out your individual responsibilities.Works in a safe manner and maintains 5S.Other duties as assigned.May be required to change shifts to accommodate production requirements.TG Minto may amend the reporting structure and/or duties and responsibilities as business needs require.QualificationsDemonstrated ability to lead a team and instill positivity, keeping them motivated.Demonstrated ability to openly communicate and delegate.Ability to read and write English.Willingness to work overtime when required.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Mathematical competence: add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to read bar graphs.Ability to solve practical problems and choose best solutions in variable situations.Ability to handle sensitive situations with integrity, dignity and respect.Ability to promote and maintain a harmonious and productive work environment.Shift hours: 2:15 pm to 10:45 pm.Nature of vacancy: Replacement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
