Job Title : PLC Technician

Role Description The PLC Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Oakville, ON. This role is responsible for installing, programming, testing, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems used in Pineberry’s automation and packaging equipment. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting electrical and control schematics, configuring, and maintaining sensors, actuators, and related hardware, and performing diagnostics to resolve equipment issues.

The PLC Technician collaborates with engineering and production teams to support new system builds, modify existing systems, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. The role may also involve electrical maintenance, documentation of changes, and occasional customer support for commissioning and service.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated experience with PLC programming, logic development, and troubleshooting (e.g., ladder logic, function block, and HMI configuration), preferably OMRON, Schneider, and Allen Bradley.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, including sensors, actuators, drives, and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics.




- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices for working with industrial machinery and electrical systems.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing or packaging environments is an asset.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues under time constraints.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
- Comfort with using diagnostic tools, measurement instruments, and maintenance software.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing production requirements.

Pay: $35,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
