Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Playwright Automation Tester to join our team for a Microsoft Dynamics-based project. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites to ensure high-quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
Work Location:
Edmonton OR Calgary - 3 days office visit
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript)
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Microsoft Dynamics applications
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Build and maintain test frameworks aligned with best practices (POM, reusable components, CI/CD integration)
- Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects
- Log, track, and validate defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups,
and retrospectives
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Perform API testing and validation where applicable
- Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5-8 years of experience in software testing with strong automation exposure
- Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework
- Robust understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns
- Experience with API testing (e.g., REST, Postman)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
