We are seeking a motivated and reliable Pork Production Technician to join our progressive swine production team. If you enjoy working with animals, take pride in maintaining high animal care standards, and are looking for a long-term career in agriculture, we'd love to hear from you.

Working as part of our team, you will play an important role in maintaining the health, welfare, and performance of our breeding and production herd.

What You'll Do

- Handle and care for pigs of all ages.
- Monitor animal health and report concerns.
- Feed livestock according to feeding programs.
- Perform piglet processing, including:
- Tail docking
- Administering iron and other medications
- Piglet identification
- Castration
- Wean piglets according to production schedules.
- Maintain accurate livestock performance records.
- Complete daily work records and production logs.
- Assist with cleaning, maintenance, and general farm duties.
- Follow strict biosecurity and animal welfare protocols.
- Breeding, heat checking

Qualifications
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.




- 1 to less than 2 years of experience in swine production.
- Experience working with livestock is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.

Work Workplace:
- Rural location.
- Hog and pig farming operation.
- Dusty, noisy, odorous, wet/damp workplace.
- Physically demanding work involving repetitive tasks.
- Fast-paced production environment.
- Attention to detail is essential.
