Become a Heavy Equipment Operator with Backwoods Energy Services, specializing in forestry projects across Alberta. This role emphasizes the secure operation of top-tier machinery and adherence to company safety protocols.
Successful candidates will work with equipment such as Forestry Mulchers and Skidders. The job environment necessitates a commitment to inspection routines and maintenance as well as assistance with general labor tasks. You’ll be expected to travel to project sites between Edmonton and Edson, working in a rotational schedule of 10 days on and 4 days off.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate daily equipment and maintain production • Perform routine checks and manage equipment cleanliness • Clear land by harvesting timber and vegetation • Collaborate closely with other operators for efficiency • Support general labor functions when equipment is unused
Requirements: • Minimum of 2 years operating related machinery • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean record • Standard First Aid and CSTS 2020 required • Ground Disturbance Level II certification • Ability to adjust to outdoor work conditions
