JUST HR is recruiting for a Human Resource & Payroll Specialist to support both corporate operations in British Columbia and site operations in Yukon. This role is important to ensuring employees are supported throughout their employment experience while maintaining accurate, compliant payroll processes across multiple entities. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the organization grow as operations expand around the planned restart of a major copper-gold-silver mining project in Yukon. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to building robust HR and payroll practices in a dynamic industrial environment.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate recruitment activities including job postings, candidate screening, and interview schedulingPrepare employment agreements, employee change documentation, leave paperwork, and termination documentsSupport onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experienceAdminister employee benefit programs including extended health coverage and Health Spending AccountMaintain accurate employee files and HR records while ensuring confidentialityUpdate and maintain HR policies, manuals, and job dedescriptionsEnsure compliance with employment standards and payroll legislation in BC and YukoIdentify opportunities to improve HR and payroll systems and processesProcess full-cycle payroll for salaried and hourly rotational employeesManage overtime, shift schedules,



and payroll adjustments accuratelyMaintain payroll information within ADP or similar payroll systemPrepare payroll filings and ensure compliance with CRA requirements, including source deductions and T4 reportingCoordinate Employer Health Tax and Workers’ Compensation reporting for BC and YukonReconcile payroll accounts and assist with audits and reporting requirementSupport a safety-focused and team-oriented workplace cultureRequirements4+ years of HR and payroll experience within CanadDirect experience processing Yukon payroll is requiredPayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation is requiredA degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferredCPHR BC & Yukon designation is considered an assetStrong knowledge of employment standards and payroll legislation in BC and YukonExperience using ADP or similar payroll systemExperience in mining, industrial, or resource-based environments is considered an assetFamiliarity with Yukon averaging agreements is an asseStrong attention to detail and organizational skillAbility to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretionStrong communication and coordination skillsTHIS POSITION COULD BE LOCATED IN WHITEHORSE, OR ALTERNATIVELY IN VANCOUVER, WITH SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL REQUIREDRemunerationSalary range of $85,000-$95,000 based on experience and qualificationsOnly candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered.#J-18808-Ljbffr
