Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Powder Filling Machine Operator to operate and monitor powder-filling equipment in a safe, efficient, and hygienic manner. The operator will be responsible for machine setup, product filling, in-process quality checks, documentation, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate powder-filling equipment according to production instructions.
- Verify the correct product, packaging materials, lot numbers, and labels before production begins.
- Load powder and packaging components into the machine safely.
- Adjust machine settings to achieve the required fill weight and production speed.
- Perform regular weight checks and inspect containers for proper fill levels, seals, coding, and overall appearance.
- Record production quantities, weights, lot numbers, downtime, material usage, and other required information accurately.
- Monitor the machine during production and make minor adjustments when necessary.
- Identify equipment or product-quality issues and report them promptly to the supervisor.
- Minimize product waste and help meet daily production targets.
- Follow all GMP, sanitation, allergen-control, food-safety, and workplace-safety procedures.
- Clean and sanitize the machine, tools, and surrounding production area between products and at the end of each shift.
- Assist with product changeovers and help prevent cross-contamination.
- Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance requirements.
- Wear required personal protective equipment, including gloves, safety footwear,



protective clothing, masks, or respirators as applicable.
- Complete other production-related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

- Previous machine-operation, packaging, or manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Experience working with powder-filling equipment is an asset.
- Ability to follow written production instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Basic math skills and the ability to use a scale accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to complete production records clearly and accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain an organized work area.
- Knowledge of GMPs and food or dietary-supplement manufacturing is an asset.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lb (23 kg).
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in an environment where airborne powder may be present while wearing the required protective equipment.

Work Schedule

- Full-time position.
- Availability for overtime or different shifts may be required depending on production needs.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.0 per week
