We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about protecting businesses and educating them on the insurance coverage available to them.Commercial Insurance SpecialistAs the Commercial Insurance Specialist, you will be responsible for new client growth and expansion of the Commercial Insurance lines through outbound prospecting, client contact, networking and sales activities.Key AccountabilitiesConduct inbound and outbound calls to prospect and proactively build a sales pipelineDevelop marketing plans to promote insurance offerings, and contributing to the achievement of sales, profitability, and growth of the brokerage.Complete risk assessments and commercial inspections in accordance with underwriting guidelines.Working with clients to review goals, providing risk management advice and recommendations for coverage, completing policy updates, and documenting required changes.Conducting policy reviews to identify changing coverage requirements, responding to client inquiries, resolving complaints, and escalating issues as required.Participating in events to create insurance awareness and developing, maintaining, and cultivating community contacts to enhance brokerage visibility and maximize new business opportunities.Maintain detailed records of all sales,



communication, contacts and client activities within the broker management systemPrepare and submit applications to insurers and negotiate terms when permitted.Adhere to insurer underwriting rules, documentation requirements, and service standards.Liaise with underwriters regarding quotations, renewals, and amendments.How you will succeed in this positionYou are goal driven and focused.You enjoy networking and helping businesses understand the risk exposure and available coverages to protect them.You have excellent communication and time management skillsYou understand the business insurance landscapeTo join our teamYou have 2-3 years of experience in commercial insurance sales and business development.You have a post‑secondary education in a related discipline.You hold a General insurance license (OTL or RIBO)You have or are willing to work towards the Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB)Knowledge of Applied Rating Service would be an assetKnowledge of Policy works and SIGXP would be an assetWhat you need to knowYou are required to have your own vehicle, valid driver’s license and insurance.You will travel regularly.
