Position: Senior Privacy Specialist - Consultant

Duration: 6 month contract

Client Location: Cambridge, Ontario (Services delivered remotely. Candidates must be based in Canada and available to work Eastern Time Zone business hours.)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced Senior Privacy Specialist consultant to support the day-to-day operations of an established enterprise Privacy Office within a regulated environment. This engagement involves collaborating with business stakeholders, compliance teams, and privacy professionals to manage privacy incidents, support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), provide advisory services, and contribute to enterprise privacy program execution.

The successful consultant will bring strong operational privacy expertise, exceptional documentation skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting privacy compliance, regulatory readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Services to be Provided

- Support the ongoing execution and enhancement of the enterprise privacy program.
- Manage privacy incident, complaint, and access request intake processes.
- Coordinate and support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
- Provide privacy consultations and advisory support to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Privacy Champions and cross-functional business teams.
- Support privacy readiness initiatives and regulatory change activities.
- Assist with regulatory filings, cyber-related reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain privacy records, reporting metrics, and documentation.




- Develop and maintain KPI/KRI dashboards and operational reporting.
- Support administration and maintenance of privacy management tools and platforms.
- Create, review, and maintain privacy policies, procedures, guidelines, and supporting documentation.
- Perform additional privacy and compliance-related services as required.

Expertise Required

- 3 to 7 years of privacy experience within a corporate, regulated, or consulting environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing privacy incidents and breach investigations.
- Experience conducting and supporting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
- Strong privacy consultation and stakeholder advisory experience.
- Experience supporting enterprise privacy programs and operational privacy functions.
- Excellent written communication, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel.
- Ability to independently manage workload and priorities with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate with business leaders and compliance stakeholders.
- Experience supporting regulatory compliance initiatives and operational privacy processes.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications

- Experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C;) Insurance industry.




- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience using Onspring or similar privacy governance platforms.
- Skilled privacy certifications such as CIPP/C and/or CAN/DGSI.
- Experience preparing privacy metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Familiarity with privacy regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks in Canada.
- Experience interacting with regulators, auditors, and compliance functions.

- Effective at balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Important This is a business-to-business engagement. Candidates must represent an incorporated entity, hold a valid business number, maintain appropriate insurance, and invoice for services rendered.
