Procedure Analyst – HR / Compensation Business Process & Support
Location: Canada (Remote)
Contract | 40 Hours/Week
Introduction
Brunel is seeking multiple Procedure Analysts to support a large-scale Government of Canada HR and Pay transformation program.
This is a junior-level opportunity focused on business process analysis, process mapping, and the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) supporting HR and compensation processes.
The successful candidates will work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand existing processes and translate requirements, workflows, and process maps into clear, standardized procedural documentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Analyze and document HR, compensation, and related business processes
- Create and maintain process maps and workflow documentation
- Translate business processes and requirements into clear, structured procedures
- Work with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and validate process information
- Review existing procedures and identify gaps, inconsistencies, or areas requiring clarification
- Ensure documentation follows established standards, templates, and governance requirements
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback and revisions into process and procedure documentation
- Track documentation activities and deliverables against project timelines
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders across a large-scale transformation program
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Eligible for Government of Canada PSPC Reliability Clearance, including 5+ years of Canadian residency
- 2–5 years of professional experience in business analysis, process analysis, process mapping, process documentation, technical writing, or a related field
- Experience analyzing and documenting business processes
- Understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and procedural documentation
- Experience with process mapping, workflow documentation, or similar business analysis activities
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to translate business processes into clear, structured procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Ability to manage multiple documentation assignments and deadlines
- Strong English communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting HR, Compensation, Payroll, or Human Capital Management processes
- Previous hands-on SOP or procedure writing experience
- Experience supporting business process transformation or standardization initiatives
- Dayforce or other HRIS/HCM experience
- Government of Canada or public-sector project experience
- Previous experience within a large enterprise, consulting, or skilled services environment
- Experience with Microsoft tools used for business analysis and documentation
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation programs
- Bilingual English/French
