About the job
AutoShack is looking for someone who can work hands-on with product data while helping organize and improve the Data department. You will help manage priorities, check quality, solve recurring data problems and improve the systems, controls and automation used by the team. Automotive catalogue experience is helpful, but we can train the right person on our products and fitment process.
Required skills
· At least 3 years of professional experience in data, systems, analytics, product data, master data,
data quality or similar work.
· Advanced Excel, including Power Query, PivotTables, lookups, formulas, large datasets and reconciliation.
· Working SQL and practical Python/pandas skills for reviewing, cleaning and comparing data.
· Comfort working with CSV, XML, JSON or other structured data and understanding how information moves between systems.
· Strong problem solving and root-cause analysis. You should be able to identify why an issue keeps happening and help prevent it.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to review other employees' work and maintain clear quality standards.
· Professional written and spoken English. Clear communication with staff and management is a required part of this job.
· Positive judgment using AI and automation tools, including knowing when results need human verification.
· Experience coordinating people or shared work, following up on deadlines and helping improve a process.
What you will do
· Coordinate the daily work queue for the Product Data team and keep priorities, ownership and due dates clear.
· Work directly with data using Excel, SQL, Python and approved AI tools.
· Review data quality, backlog, repeat errors and rework and raise important issues to management.
· Investigate recurring product, catalogue, fitment and SKU issues and help correct the root cause.
· Coordinate work between the Kanata team and offshore staff and make sure the same standards are followed.
· Create practical checks and controls so changes are verified before and after publishing.
· Keep procedures and training material current and easy to follow.
· Identify better systems, automation and AI workflows that improve accuracy and reduce manual work.
· Work with IT, e-commerce, purchasing, customer service, warehouse and management when issues cross departments.
· Complete other duties as assigned or required.
Helpful experience
PIM/MDM, ERP systems, Power BI, e-commerce catalogues, marketplace feeds, automotive parts, ACES/VCdb, DPI DataPoint/DM5 or fitment experience are assets.
Selection process
Selected candidates will complete a timed 35-45 minute TestGorilla assessment before an interview. It will cover Excel, data analysis, attention to detail, problem solving, written communication and practical SQL/data questions. The assessment must be completed independently without AI, another person or outside assistance. Candidates who pass may be asked to complete a short live or onsite skills check, including an organization and data-quality exercise.
