Role SummaryThe Mechanical Engineer position will support the Engineering Manager and engineering team in activities such as mechanical design and drafting, product development, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and engineering documentation.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in product development and manufacturing activitiesParticipate in design reviews by providing information and insight to designers and engineersDesign 3D mechanical assemblies and fixtures using SolidworksEstablish supply chains and purchasing of various raw materials, components and processesGenerate 2D mechanical drawings and engineering documentsAnalyze manufacturability, costing and lead times of electro‑mechanical systemsWork together with the Engineering team, cross‑functional teams (Service, Manufacturing, Production) as well as suppliers to meet customer deliverablesDevelop assembly procedures and other manufacturing documentation as requiredPerform other duties as requiredQualificationsBachelor’s Degree or Technologist Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3 years of applicable work experienceStrong experience with 3D CAD software, preferably in SolidWorksAbility to read and follow mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics and bills of materials, including valuable knowledge of GD&TAbility to troubleshoot and adapt to ongoing changes to suit the needs of the team and/or customersKnowledge of different manufacturing processes: CNC Machining, Sheet metal Fabrication,
