We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Lead to join our manufacturing team. This is more than a supervisory role-it's a succession planning opportunity. The successful candidate will work closely with our current leadership team with the goal of developing into a Production Supervisor position within 6-9 months.

About the Role

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing department, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently achieved. You will supervise production personnel, coordinate workflow, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help build a positive, accountable workplace culture.

This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and offers a structured development path toward a senior leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet quality, safety, and productivity goals.
- Layout work scope at time of sale, identify required resources and work closely with lead hand and employees to reach completion date targets and customer timelines.
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees through training, mentoring, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO, API, and applicable occupational health and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Shipping to resolve production issues.
- Monitor workflow, labour utilization, and production schedules to maximize efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, waste reduction, and increased productivity.




- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing workplace.
- Ensure equipment and tools are available and in good working order.
- Monitor attendance, work performance, and adherence to company policies.
- Assist with budgeting, production reporting, material requisitions, and workforce planning.
- Participate in hiring, employee development, and succession planning.
- Investigate, document, and resolve safety, qualityand environmental concerns.
- Support special projects and other operational initiatives as required.

Qualifications

Required

- Red Seal Certification in a relevant trade-HET, Millwright, Electrician.
- Minimum three years of supervisory or foreman experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred

- Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and performance metrics.
- ERP/MRP system experience.
- Previous involvement with budgeting, workforce planning, or capital projects.

Working Conditions

- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
- Personal protective equipment is required.
- Manual handling of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- 44-hour work week - open and close the shop type role
- Overtime may be required based on production demands.
