As aRelationship Manageryou have strong relationship‑building skills and can problem‑solve issues as they arise. A day might see you welcoming new students to their new community, talking to the student’s school or host family about academic or social issues, and discussing Homestay responsibilities with one of our Canadian hosts. As an integral member of our Operations Team, you’ll be using your strong communication and judgment skills daily, to help build and grow our Homestay network.It is a Hybrid role, work from home office and in‑person at school or partner’s office, with an hourly wage between $19.00‑$21.00.This is a permanent full‑time (30 hrs per week) vacant position in Red Deer, AB, with in‑person work in the Red Deer region.Core hours are 10:00 am‑3:00 pm local time with some flexibility for remaining hours. There may be some evenings and weekends for events or emergencies.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor and manage relationships between internal and external stakeholdersSupport homestay hosts, natural parents,



and students in interpreting cultural practices and differencesPlan and deliver in‑person training to hosts as well as in‑person orientations for hosts and new studentsCommunicate and maintain accurate recordsBuild a supportive local community of host familiesSupport student and host family relationships throughout their program in a variety of waysRespond to crisis situations in a prompt and caring manner and refer cases to health professionals where appropriateIn person work with intake and School MeetingsAssume custodianship for the local region/community students under the age of 18 as required (up to 100 km)Travel amongst the local community and surrounding areasThe successful candidate will haveAt least two years of homestay or related work experienceOne‑year Community College Certificate or DiplomaInternational experience including hosting students or travelling abroad (preferred)Ability to plan events and comfortability with public speakingGreat judgement and decision‑making skills while exercising a high degree of confidentialityAbility to work in a rapid‑paced environment with a potential of high‑stress situationsExceptional Customer Service skills and experienceExcellent Word, Excel, Email, and Database skillsAbility to confidently communicate in English; it is ideal to speak a second languageSuperior organizational skills and ability to hold yourself accountable while working independentlyStrong ability to develop and maintain relationships with both colleagues and clientsThis role requires the successful candidate to be at least 25 years of age and a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
