Position OverviewAs a driver with Davey Tree you will be responsible for ensuring the crew and equipment arrive at the job site safely and on time. Once at site you will join the rest of the crew as an Arborist Assistant; providing your in‑depthknowledge and skills to ensure the job gets done right and on time.Job DutiesDrive a commercial truck with crew and equipment to various job sites as required.Perform and log daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of the vehicle.Maintain cleanliness of the truck, keeping interior and exterior free of debris.Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy.Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems.Remove hazardous trees.Maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.Assist trimmers and foreperson in job site setup, debris removal, and cleanup.Abide by Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.QualificationsValid provincial driver’s license (AZ or DZ license).Clean driver abstract.Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping.Arborist certification or willingness to work toward one.Robust tree, knot,



and shrub identification skills.Understanding and implementation of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.Ability to work safely as part of a team and willingness to learn and progress.Additional InformationFull time, year‑round employment.$20–$25 per hour.
